Welcome to Skidmore!
The Office of the First-Year Experience provides information and support to new students as they prepare for their arrival at the college – whether they are spending their first semester in Saratoga Springs or at our London FYE program. And of course, we help students as they navigate through their first year of college.

The Scribner Seminars are the centerpiece of the First-Year Experience. Taught by faculty from virtually every discipline who design seminars to highlight their own intellectual curiosities and passions, they will help you explore ideas, challenge assumptions, and gain first-hand experience of faculty expectations of academic rigor and excellence.
